Product Description

IMI sensors manufacture a range of loop-powered vibration transmitters with current output. These transmitters are ideal for monitoring in the process industry, where programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems are typically used to collect continuous 7x24 hour monitoring signals from critical rotating equipment. The current output can directly interface with these existing monitoring systems, allowing simple monitoring and analysis of the data.
Most factories already have PLC, DCS, or SCADA systems in place to monitor parameters such as pressure, flow, and temperature. IMI's loop-powered 4-20mA vibration transmitters are plug-and-play and use loop power instead of separate dedicated power supplies. A loop power supply of 12-30 VDC can power the transmitters, while the process controller converts the transmitter's current output into a voltage for measurement. The transmitters are easy to integrate with existing systems, enabling the monitoring of critical equipment without the need for additional expensive data acquisition systems.
