Working principle

As fluid courses through the vortex generator within the flow field, achieving a defined velocity, a mesmerizing dance of alternating and aligned vortices, known as a vortex street, emerges. This phenomenon first manifests on one side of the column and then gracefully shifts to the other. This captivating theory of vortex generation was pioneered by the visionary Karmen, who christened it the Karman Vortex. Karmen also ingeniously established the relationship between frequency and velocity, highlighting the Strouhal number as the pivotal coefficient in this dynamic interaction.
